• 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Choose a location for your African marigolds that receives full sun, meaning at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Ensure the soil is well-draining, as marigolds don’t tolerate waterlogged conditions. African marigolds are typically started indoors 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost date in your area. You can also sow seeds directly in the garden after the danger of frost has passed.

• 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: African marigold seeds typically germinate in 5-7 days when kept at a temperature of around (21-24°C). Once the seedlings have grown to about 2 inches in height and have a couple of true leaves, they can be transplanted into larger pots or directly into your garden.
• 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: Water the young marigold plants regularly, but be careful not to overwater. Pinch back the growing tips when the plants are about 4 inches tall to encourage bushier growth and more flowers. Fertilize with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 2-4 weeks to promote healthy growth and abundant blooms.
